Honors Beyond the Classroom

Explore. Discover. Create.

The lessons learned in the Mercer Honors Program outside the classroom are equally important as the ones learned inside.  The Honors Program not only allows for students to explore the academic classroom, but also opportunities beyond the classroom that enhance program curriculum.  With special events such as dinners, field trips, and artistic performances, students familiarize themselves with the Mercer campus and Middle-Georgia community.

For many students, Study Abroad is an integral component of their University Honors Program experience. Students may choose to spend a summer or semester studying abroad, learn through travel-study courses, or experience courses in a study-abroad context approved by the Honors Program director.  Most recently, students have had exciting opportunities to enhance their global perspective through study abroad options that have included Oxford, Kenya, France, and most recently, Puerto Rico.
